Full Access Library Card required. Resident and Paid Non-resident Cards only. TexShare/Limited Access Cards are not eligible.
Walk-ins will not be allowed. Please add your name to the waitlist on Library Calendar in order to be permitted if space allows. Waitlist registrants will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis five minutes after the scheduled start time.
Come create a project of your choice with a variety of pre-selected equipment in our makerspace. Patrons are expected to:
- Watch the Makerspace orientation and sign the Makerspace User Agreement (please complete before registering for this event). Registration before completion of orientation and user agreement could result in cancelation.
- Review tool documentation and approved materials via the makerspace website before registering for the event. Registrants must supply their own approved materials. Registrants are expected to know how to use the tool prior to registering.
- Please note the tools (Max = 2 tools) you intend to use in the above question. Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis. Please review this document on Makerspace website (see full tool description on Makerspace website) to select your tool(s). Please also note that 3D printers, embroidery machines, and Laser engravers are not part of open lab and may not be reserved at this time.
- Your Open Lab reservation begins at the event start time. Please be timely and arrive within 5 (five) minutes of the event start. Registrants who arrive after 5 (five) minutes will be cancelled and will be asked to make a new reservation.
- Registrants may bring ONE companion who must follow all rules and regulations.
*Age requirements are listed on the makerspace website for each tool. To ensure patron safety, library staff have the discretion to determine violations of these guidelines, which may result in the loss of open lab privileges.
