Taking on the Klan: The Dan Moody Story explores the remarkable journey of a young Texas prosecutor who took a bold stand against one of the most powerful and feared organizations of the 1920s—the Ku Klux Klan. At just 29 years old, Dan Moody successfully prosecuted Klan members for acts of violence and intimidation, marking the first major legal defeat for the group in the United States. This presentation by The Williamson Museum delves into Moody’s courageous fight for justice, the political and social climate of Williamson County and how his early stand against hate helped shape his path to becoming the youngest governor in Texas history. A story of integrity, bravery, and the power of law in the face of extremism.
This program will feature ASL interpretation.
