This program, presented by Goodwill of Central Texas, emphasizes the importance of effective money management to support financial goals and long-term stability. Participants will learn practical techniques for budgeting, saving, and using credit responsibly.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand budgeting fundamentals
- Define what a budget is and explain its purpose.
- Track income and expenses using practical tools and methods.
- Differentiate between needs and wants
- Identify spending priorities and apply strategies for informed financial decision-making.
- Recognize the importance of saving
- Apply techniques for consistent saving.
- Develop or refine a personal savings plan, including building an emergency fund.
- Understand credit basics
- Describe different types of credit and how they affect overall financial health.
- Apply best practices for building and maintaining strong credit.
