Ready to unleash the mysteries of séance? Dive into the history of this popular Victorian age activity -- the colorful stories, the personalities, and the items used when the lights go out — for this hour-long presentation by The Austin Séance, the Lone Star State's leading séance facilitators. Their presentation will be followed by time for questions and answers. Bring your curiosity, courage, and a friend!

This program is for ages 18 and up. Space is limited. First come, first served. 

No séance will be conducted at this event. 

About The Austin Séance:

The Austin Séance is a creative and experimental collaboration devoted to the history and practice of American séances and Spiritualism. Led by Artistic Director Albert Lucio and Editorial Director Jake Cordero, The Austin Séance has operated from its home base in Central Texas since 2016. Their work includes séance demonstrations in museums, historical sites and other public institutions. The Austin Séance also conducts occult lectures and academic seminars. The Austin Séance operates an editorial division and publishes The Austin Séance Quarterly Journal.

The Austin Séance has been featured in Texas Monthly's Drop Everything List, the cover of The Austin Chronicle, NPR's Texas Standard Program, KUT's ATX Explained, and other radio and television outlets.
