Event Details
LLU Workplace Readiness Training is a teen job prep training offered free of charge for all high school students who register for the program. LLU Training teaches job prep skills and business soft skills to include the following content areas:
- Resume Writing & Digital Literacy
- Professionalism, Networking, & Career Exploration
- Financial Literacy & Avoiding Debt
- Communication, Organization, Teamwork, Leadership
- Ladders for Leaders Internship Application Assistance
The two in-person LLU events in 2025 will be held at the beautiful, brand-new Cedar Park Public Library Event Space, Room 100! In-person LLU will be interactive and informative. Students will engage in live demos, presentations, and panel discussions. They will also have an opportunity to participate in mock interviews and will get help with their internship applications should they decide to pursue an internship through Ladders for Leaders.
Please note: students who are planning to pursue an internship must be age 16 by June 1st and must also sign up for LLU online job prep sessions held every Thursday in February (2/6/25, 2/13/25, 2/20/25). High school students, age 16 and up, may apply for a paid internship at laddersforleaders.org beginning January 13, 2025.
REGISTRATION IS FREE AND IS REQUIRED THROUGH LADDERS FOR LEADERS
