Program Description

Event Details

Calling all poets, musicians, storytellers, and word artists: Come on down to the Library to celebrate Poetry Month with a free-form Open Mic! Stay to listen and enjoy if you don't want to share. Open to adults and teens ages 15+.

How it works: All performers will be announced in a round robin format, ensuring that everyone gets a turn. Please keep your performance to under 5 minutes. Depending on the number of participants, you may be able to share more than one piece. If you are reading/sharing an established piece/song, please specify the author and copyright. Your selection must be family-friendly, and contain no strong language.

If you intend to read/share/perform, please email librarypublicservices@cedarparktexas.gov with your name and whether you'll be reading or playing an instrument. If you are playing music, please specify what AV needs you require and we will be in touch.
